Armed Forces Day May
Memorial Day May
Flag Day June 14
Independence Day July 4
Labor Day September
Patriot Day September 11
Veteran’s Day November

Flag Service is provided each year to participating Businesses in the
Town of Twisp, Washington.

On specified Flag Holidays, the American Legion provides to local businesses the opportunity to celebrate America by
displaying the American Flag.
We all assemble at 7 a.m. to put up the Flags, and again at 4 p.m. to
take them down.
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic Veterans Organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service-members and veterans.

Flag Service

Help unite our Local Community
and Remember our Past.

The American Flag is a symbol of
Patriotism, Sacrifice and Unity.

Flag Service supports our
local economy by the
consistent display shown.

The American Legion Post 0143
Methow Valley, has been carrying
on this tradition for many years.

Each year, we have to retire some
old Flags and buy new ones,
plus incur other costs.

We need your help to keep
Flag Service sustained!
